IMT Platform Interfaces

Situation

As a User Experience Desinger II at IMT Insurance, I contribute to the design and evaluation of a the IMT Platform. The IMT Platform is a new system that will support the quoting and servicing of all lines of business. The first line of business implimented on the Platform is Workers Compensation.

Task

My role in the large, multi-year project is to design the user interfaces and test the system with users.

Action

I have led or contributed to the following processes:

1. Discover: Conduct initial cross-functional collaboration and data gathering
2. Define: Assist the business analysts in defining functional requirements
3. Design: Create mockups and prototypes that meet the functional requirements
4. Test: Conduct user evaluations to refine the interfaces or assess their effectiveness
5. Refine: Based on user feedback iterate and refine the user interfaces

Results

My work has created user interfaces for users to enter locations, individuals, classes, and endorsements. The user flows for the data entry are currently being user tested. I have also created user interfaces for editing errors, obtaining quotes, and submitting quotes for issuance. The user flows will be user tested in the future.
